I traveled to Seattle for the Seattle Veg Fest! I set up a Vegetaryn booth, and had a wonderful time meeting and interacting with my customers! Of course, while I was there I had to explore as many vegan restaurants as I could; No Bones, Cafe Flora, Sizzle Pie, Frankie and Jo's, Kati Thai Vegan, and Plum Bistro! All of them were truly amazing, except Plum Bistro was absolutely incredible! It was so good, that we even went two times during our 5 day stay. The restaurant was well decorated with stunning lamps hanging from their tall ceilings. The restaurant was packed when we went for dinner, and had a much more quaint vibe for lunch.
If you're in the mood for an adult drink, I highly recommend their "I'm Bloody Drunk" Margarita. It was very refreshing and not too sweet! It was filled with tequila, blood orange juice, lime juice, jalapeño 'honey' (vegan), and salt. It tasted even better than it sounds :)
We ordered their Sautèed Caviar Lentils, which were lemony, zesty, and perfectly savory. I honestly wish I could eat this dish everyday. It came with tuscan kale, roasted golden beets, maitake mushrooms, and a housemade lemon herb vinaigrette.
I very rarely ever find a vegan quiche on a menu. So when I saw that Plum Bistro offered one for lunch, I had to order it! We got the Roasted Red Pepper Quiche and it was incredible! The filling literally melted in your mouth, and the crust was buttery and delicious!
We also had to order one of their sandwiches, after much deliberation (because honestly EVERYTHING on their menu sounds amazing) we went with the Chipotle Grill with baked tempeh, avocado, grilled onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and chipotle aioli. The tempeh was seasoned and cooked to perfection, and the other toppings complimented each other well for a flavor packed bite!
If you're ever in the Seattle, Washington area I HIGHLY recommend Plum Bistro, vegan or not! Who ever created this menu and the flavors I got to taste is a genius! I really like to (selfishly) hope that they will open a location in LA! I'd eat there everyday.
